  • Kisspeptin-54 consistently outperforms shorter isoforms in fertility research because its extended half-life sustains GnRH receptor activation long enough to produce a physiological LH surge. Kisspeptin-10, despite being the minimal active fragment, clears too rapidly to generate the sustained GnRH pulsatility required for full ovulation induction. It works in rodent models where cycle lengths are hours, not days, but translates poorly to human reproductive timescales.
