WHAT IS CJC-1295

CJC-1295 is an incredibly effective growth hormone and works by causing another substance to be secreted. It stimulates the release of your own body’s growth hormone which. Research show that after the age of 30 the body’s growth hormone level drops quickly and approximately 15% every 10 years. CJC-1295 is able to increase growth hormone naturally by binding to receptors for growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) on your brain and more specifically the pituitary gland. By doing this it triggers the brain to release growth hormone that would have otherwise been lost with age.

Research completed with healthy men and women between the ages of 21 and 61, showed that CJC-1295 had the ability to  increase serum growth hormone levels by 200-1000%. In these individuals, the elevated growth hormone production and release continued for up to 6 days because CJC-1295 has a half life of about 6-8 days. This longer half-life means the body continues to produces beyond the day of injection and is thought to be a great benefit has compared to other peptides that also have similar actions. For this reason and a few more, CJC-1295 has become very effective peptide for safely increasing growth hormone levels.

CJC-1295 is safely biologically increased growth hormone levels without the side of effects of other medication such hGH treatment which have been none to have more side effects. Some of the side effects of CJC-1295 are generally mild and tend to not last long if at all such as headache, flushing, and dizziness. The most common reported side effect is redness and irritation at the injection site.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CJC-1295

Benefits may include:

  • promoting deep sleep
  • optimizing athletic performance
  • building lean muscle
  • reducing fat
  • increasing GH and IGF-1 levels

WHAT ARE COMMON SIDE EFFECTS OF CJC-1295

The most common patient reported side effects include:

  • flu-like symptoms
  • headache
  • irritability
  • anxiety
  • nausea
  • itching and hives

WHAT IS IPAMORELIN

Ipamorelin acts in a completely different way to stimulate growth hormone release. Ipamorelin helps to release growth hormone because it mimics ghrelin. Ghrelin is one of three hormones which together act to regulate growth hormone release from the pituitary gland. This is an important distinction between both peptides because Ghrelin also works at the pituitary gland and is responsible for initiating the breakdown of fat for use as energy as well as preventing the breakdown of muscles.

There is always one major concern which must be evaluated whenever you are considering any kind of anti-aging treatment however, and that is whether the benefits outweigh the potential side-effects. Fortunately, in the case of sermorelin vs ipamorelin, that choice seems pretty easy.

WHY COMBINE CJC-1295 AND IPAMORELIN

CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin are typically combined in therapy because the are known to work well together. CJC-1295 takes anywhere from 1-4 hours to reach peak serum in the blood, while Ipamorelin works much quicker. Ipamorelin is cleared from the body more rapidly as it’s half life is about 2 hours. The combination of both peptides ensures a rapid onset with Ipamorelin and lasting effects with CJC-1295. These 2 peptides are incredibly specific at increasing growth hormone levels when compared to other peptides. Other peptide can increase levels of cortisol (as seen with stress, can increase hunger) but neither Ipamorelin nor CJC-1295 have an effect on other hormones which is a great advantage.

WHAT IS THE DOSING FOR CJC-1295 / IPAMORELIN

The peptide CJC-1295 / Ipamorelin is in the evening by subcutaneous injection because that is the typical time the body natural secretes growth hormone. Typical dosing is 300 mcg per day although studies have shown that increasing the dose to 500 mcg of Ipamorelin with 250 mcg of CJC 1295 can optimize results.

Many also agree Ipamorelin/CJC1295 can also be given 1-2 times daily at dosages ranging from 250/100mcg to 500/200mcg per administration. The smaller dose is taken twice daily as the larger does is right before bed.

All doses are taken on empty stomach 1hr prior or 1 to 1- 1/2hrs after eating. Ipamorelin/CJC-1295 is usually taken for 12-16wks at a time for maximum results.

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS CJC-1295 / IPAMORELIN

When taken in low to moderate doses, mild side effects may include:

  • redness, flushing and or itching after the injection that resolves in a few minutes
  • dry mouth
  • nausea
  • weight gain usually associated with increased muscle mass

Although less common, Ipamorelin may cause in high doses:

  • water retention
  • tingling or numbness of the hands and feet
  • insulin resistance
  • hypertension

There may be additional side effects if taken with other supplements that work on the same pathway as  Ipamorelin.

SIDE EFFECTS

Safety and Side Effects in a Research Context

No expert discussion would be complete without covering safety. While GHRH and GHRP analogues are generally well-tolerated in research settings, there are potential side effects that can occur, especially with improper dosing. These are typically mild and transient. Common observations include: A head rush or flushing sensation: This is quite common, especially with Mod GRF 1-29 and certain GHRPs. It typically occurs within minutes of administration and subsides quickly. Injection site reaction: Some redness, itching, or minor swelling at the injection site can happen. This is usually temporary. Water retention: Elevated GH levels can cause some temporary fluid retention. This is often dose-dependent. Increased tiredness: The large GH pulse, particularly when dosed before bed, can enhance sleep depth and sometimes lead to a feeling of lethargy the next day, similar to the feeling after an exceptionally deep night's sleep. Most of these effects are directly tied to the large release of GH. In a way, they can serve as anecdotal confirmation that the peptide is biologically active. However, minimizing these variables is key to clean data. Our experience shows that starting with a lower dose and carefully titrating up allows the research subject to acclimate, reducing the incidence of these transient effects. And, once again, using a high-purity product free from manufacturing residues is paramount to ensuring that any observed effects are from the peptide itself, not from conta…
